The heatsinks shown here are available with thermally conductive adhesive tape, also known as thermal interface material (TIM). TIM, offered by a number of manufacturers including Chomerics and Bergquist, provides quick and reliable mounting. It is available pre-applied to the heatsink at the factory. The adhesive of the TIM is a specially formulated to provide exceptional bonding properties for plastic or metal/ceramic packages.
